Scotiabank Award for Law Students - Renewable

Awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing in the first year of a Juris Doctor degree. Selection based on academic standing, demonstrated work or voluntary experience supporting Visible Minorities, marginalized and/or disadvantaged groups. Preference given to a student who identifies as a member of a Visible Minority and/or who is First Nation, Inuit, or Métis person of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2). Receipt of funding for the second and third years is contingent upon achieving satisfactory academic standing on a minimum 24 credits over the most recent September to April period at the University of Alberta each year.
