Henry Gerrie Ward Prize in Western Canadian History

To be awarded annually to a student who has written the best essay in any 400-level History course on a topic in Western Canadian history. Recipients will be selected on the basis of academic standing and the potential to contribute to the historiography of Western Canada. In the event that two students are deemed to be of equal standing, financial need will also be taken into consideration.
