John and Eileen Jorgens Scholarship - Renewable

To be awarded annually to Alberta residents with superior academic achievement entering the first year of a BSc. in Nutrition and Food Science, BSc. in Environmental and Conservation Sciences or BSc. in Agriculture (Agricultural and Resource Economics major). Recipients will be selected on the basis of Grade 11 and/or Grade 12 final marks and leadership involvement in community and extracurricular activities. Preference will be given to applicants from an Alberta farming or ranching family where the primary income of the family is derived from the farm/ranch, although students from urban centres are also encouraged to apply. This scholarship is renewable for a second year provided the recipient maintains superior academic standing (GPA of 3.5 or higher) on a minimum 24 credits over the most recent September to April period.
